Getting Started

Multicase has built the integration to Ongoing WMS. Reach out to them to get started. They will require API access to your Ongoing WMS. Please see this guide on how to give someone API access.

Features of the integration

The integration between Multicase and Ongoing WMS practically covers the entire physical flow of goods:

Master data

Selected fields from the product master data are transferred from Multicase to Ongoing WMS at set intervals. This applies to both new and modified products. It is also possible to send service items.

Purchase Orders/Receiving Goods

Purchase orders are sent to Ongoing WMS immediately when they are saved in Multicase. Any changes to open or partially open purchase orders are also sent to Ongoing WMS, ensuring that any adjustments for upcoming goods receipts are updated in Ongoing WMS in advance. Multicase, therefore, controls what is to be received. The goods receipts are read at set intervals, and inventory and history are updated in Multicase.

Orders/Picking Lists

Users in Multicase manually send orders/picking lists that need to be picked in Ongoing WMS. Multicase continues to allocate what can be sent to whom and when based on the inventory in Multicase. This way, the company retains control over what is to be sent.

Dispatch/Shipping of Goods

The picking lists are packed and shipped from Ongoing WMS. Ongoing WMS supports several types of TA (Transport Administration) systems into which existing freight agreements can be integrated. The shipping methods in Multicase are mapped to the shipping methods in Ongoing WMS to ensure the correct mode of transport. All accompanying documents are produced by Ongoing, and any design requirements can be customized as needed.

Invoicing

When the shipment is confirmed in Ongoing WMS, the packing slip and invoice are created in Multicase. A tracking link is added under the order history.

Returns

Return orders are sent to Ongoing WMS as a goods receipt. For items that are to be placed in stock, the receipt is processed in Ongoing WMS, and the remaining tasks are handled in Multicase. Completed return receipts update the inventory in Multicase, and a credit note is created if necessary.

Inventory Adjustment

Inventory changes are made in Ongoing WMS and automatically updated in Multicase. This also applies to any discrepancies discovered during the picking of goods.
