Using an integration with a shipping platform

Table of contents

Introduction

Ongoing WMS is most often used integrated with a shipping platform or directly integrated to carriers such as PostNord or Bring. As a customer of a 3PL, which uses Ongoing WMS, or as customer support in a company which uses Ongoing WMS for their own Logistics, you can use Ongoing WMS to track your deliveries. When signing in to a customer login the tracking information will be accessible to you. This tracking information generally consists of:

  • A waybill number for the whole delivery.
  • An URL to the carrier's website to track the parcel using waybill number.
  • A parcel number for each of the individual parcels (pallet items in Ongoing WMS).
  • An URL to the carrier's website to track the parcels for each of the individual parcels (pallet items in Ongoing WMS).

Depending on transporter one or the other number might not be provided.

If you also book a return delivery through Ongoing WMS, you will get another set of the same data but marked as return.

Locate the tracking information for an order

Under Order => Order list you locate your order and press the select icon (arrow down). The order view is expanded. To the right of the view under Order info you will find the information.
